First Aid Course

This is a "First Aid Post." :) Thursday we, (Hannah, Lydia, and I,) went to a First Aid Course for Homeschoolers. It was for ages 10 and up. We learned basic life-saving skills. We are getting our First Aid certificates soon. It was very interesting!! We learned CPR, what to do if someone is choking, the recovery position, and lots more!!!! That's all for now,

Today, we went on a homeschool trip. We went to a warehouse where David's brother Gordon raises rabbits and guinea pigs to sell to pet stores. We had a lot of fun learning about the different rabbits and guinea pigs. We really enjoyed it. There will be more pictures tomorrow.

This is the homeshool kids minus one (Joshua)

This little bunny is only a few days old.

Crawfordsburn Apple Festival

On Friday, Sylvia and her son Jonathan came down and are spending a week with us. On Saturday, we went to the Crawfordsburn Apple Festival with the Laverty's . We really enjoyed it. There was Apple juice, fried apples, There was a beanbag game where you try to hit the wooden apple off. You could make beeswax candles. And all of this that I just mentioned was free. Also they had this game where you wore this sticker with a name of a apple and if you found a person with the same apple name sticker as you. You took them to the desk and you got a free prize. The prizes were: t-shirts, bags, and pencils. Some of us got the prizes but it was really fun. Well here is some of the pictures.

Castle Ward Pumpkin Fest.

Today, we went to the Castle Ward Pumpkin Fest. It was a lot of fun. That had archery, candle dipping. (Will try to post picture of Hannah's candle she dipped on Monday.) That had a lot of stalls with different things like jams, honey, handmade jewelry, and stuff like that. We had a lot of fun looking around. We went there by the Portaferry ferry. (You drive your car on and it takes you to the other side.) We will post more pictures on Monday.

Here is the ferry.

Calligraphy and Autumn...

Hi everyone!! We just got back from Church a little while ago. You can really tell the summer weather is turning into autumn!!

Today, Mom and I went to calligraphy class. We finished learning the rest of the alphabet today. The alphabet style we are learning is called "sharpened italic." Here's an example of it.
