We're back!

Today, we got back from our little trip. We had a lot of fun and went to a lot of places.

This is the first place, we went on Thursday. It is called Garron point.

Tomorrow, our family is going on a little holiday for 2 days. We leave tomorrow and will get back on Saturday. We are going to the North coast. We will be posting pictures of our holiday on Saturday.

Barbeque pictures.

Today, our church had a barbeque at Scrabo tower. It was really good. We really enjoyed it. The food was great.(There was a lot to choose from.)

Frosted Orange Salad

Sis Tammy is hosting a summer salads swap. So we decided we would join in the fun!!

Frosted Orange Salad

3 packages (3 ounces each) orange gelatin

3 cups boiling water

1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple

3 cups cold water

4 medium firm bananas, sliced

2-1/2 cups minature marshmallows

1/2 cup sugar

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

1 egg, beaten

1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened

1 cup whipping cream, whipped

3/4 chopped pecans, toasted

1/2 flaked coconut, toasted

In a bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Drain pineapple, reserving juice. Stir cold water, bananas, marshmallows, and pineapple into gelatin. Pour into a 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. dish coated with nonstick cooking spray; refrigerate until firm. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine sugar and flour. Stir in reserved pineapple juice until smooth. Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened and bubbly. Reduce heat; cook and stir 2 minutes longer. Remove from the heat. Stir a small amount of hotfilling in the egg; return all to the pan, stirring constantly. Bring to a gentle boil; cook and stir 2 minutes longer. Cool. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth; add cooled filling. Fold in whipped cream. Spread over gelatin (dish will be full.) Sprinkle with nuts and coconut. Equals 12 servings.

Here is some more pictures of the zoo, where we went on Wednesday. Yesterday, We cleaned the house and Grace,my Mom and Hannah got their hair cut and we did a little bit of shopping. Today, Grace and Hannah got a new bike. They get it tomorrow. I will post a picture of it tomorrow. Tonight, we went to the Laverty's house. (We had a lot of fun.) Next week, our church is going to have a barbeque at Scrabo tower. (We are looking forward to that.)

Yesterday.

Yesterday,we went to Newcastle (a little town near the coast about an hour away from us.) and looked around and ate lunch at this cafe called Maud's. It was very delicious. Then we went to Tullymore forest park and walked on one of the forest trails. Here is some of the pictures at Tullymore.

A new arrival!

Today, our aunt Amanda had her baby. His name is Isaac Aaron. He was born this morning in North Carolina. He weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces and is 21 and a half inches long. We will post a picture of him as soon as we get one. (We are expecting one through the email very soon.)

We are very excited.

Today, we went to Castlewellan forest park. It has a maze,and a few walks. We had a lot of fun. We had a barbeque there. (It was really good) We went in the maze. ( It is very big) This is the Mourne mountain

Then we had a picnic at Belvoir forest park and we walked around the park after. We did a little bit of shopping today. Tonight, the Laverty's came over and we had ice cream (It was really good.) We played basketball and played with the jump rope.

Our Busy Weekend....

Hello Everyone! We've had a very busy weekend. Chris Forrest spent the night with us Saturday and Sunday night. Chris preached for our church last night. It was a blessing!!

Chris went back to Londonderry this morining. Saturday we went to a living history day at the Down County Museum. We saw calligraphy artists at work, musicians, musket reenactments, Viking history, coin striking, and tons more. We went with Bro. David and his son Joel, Chris, and our family. It was a very fun filled after-noon to say the very least!! It has been very warm these past couple of days. Today it has been in the 80's which is very, very warm in Northern Ireland!! Tomorrow, Bro. Stan, Chris, Bro. Mark, and a few others from Londonderry will be coming down to our Church service tomorrow night.

Strawberry and Gooseberry Picking........

Today we went berry picking at an estate called the Dunleath Estate. They grow strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, all kinds of beans, lettuce, cabbage, and lots more. We had a very good time.
